Your eye exam will include a thorough evaluation of your vision. We will present you with all of your options to manage any vision difficulties you are having, including blurred vision, eye strain, and difficulties working on the computer.
Vision is only one aspect of the eye exam. We will also provide you with an in-depth examination of your eye health. Many sight-threatening conditions develop with no symptoms. Early diagnosis and treatment of any issues are the best ways to prevent vision loss.
What is More Important to Your Quality of Life Than Clear, Comfortable Vision? Call Us to Schedule an Eye Exam Today!
Some conditions require more detailed evaluations of the inside of the eye. Diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration are some of the leading causes of blindness in the United States. With your permission, the doctor may use eye drops to enlarge your pupils. This allows the doctor to see the inside of the eye more clearly. Afterward, your vision may be blurred for several hours. We will provide you with sunglasses, since light sensitivity is also common following a dilated exam. If the doctor recommends dilating the pupils and you are not prepared to do so, that part of the exam can be scheduled for another day.

Because contact lenses touch the eyes, they carry more risk of complication than glasses. For this reason, contact lens wearers should have an eye exam annually.
